ACTIVITIES: Bridge, paddle as usual. Mystery Books meet on March 27, 1:30 at the library-the book is "Moscow Rules". Chefs will present on March 22- "Ode to Spring". 4F's on March 23 at Nino's. The AARP driving course is March 29. The Investment Discussion Group meets on Monday, March 19 at 10:30AM at the Community Center. Harry Hitch asked for volunteers to be assistant secretaries of NCSMC.

JESTER Joel Pelzner told two Irish stories in honor of ST Patrick Day.
SPEAKER: Lori Kelly, Fred Baker, Nancy Upton and Roger Hartford reviewed how to be ready to deal with emergencies. !) Families should have an emergency kit with water, canned food, flashlight, radio, warm clothes, etc. 2) Fred warned of fire hazards from stoves, cigarettes, fireplaces, generators, etc. Families should be prepared for escape routes and meeting places after a disaster. 3)Nancy reviewed the new simple CPR process, but advised us that we all should take a course to learn it.4) Roger summarized the efforts of the local, state and national Red Cross to become more efficient and make better use of its funds.
