SPEAKER Paul Strassman gave us the “good news” on Cyber Warfare. America has been gearing up to deal with it. He called it WW IV. Cyber attacks concern the economy, finance, oil & gas, water, electric power, transportation, emergency and Government services. This threat is dominent in space. There are 3.6 million malicious codes a month and 124 million known programs. Sources are countries, insiders, hostile countries and terrorists. Automated Industrial Controls are a major target.
Paul’s advice: Use only Pay Pal for internet payment, firewall, anti-virus software. Use 10 digit passwords and change them frequently. Computer crime now exceeds drug crime !
